Handing Over to the Group
The group must hold its own portal login, contact details and records.
- Login.The group's user ID and password should be with the group leader, not agency staff.
- Contact details.Update the group's mobile number and email to the group's own, so OTPs and resets reach them.
- Records.Hand over registers, Format-9 worksheets, land records and certificates.
- Skills.Train the documentation in-charge to upload data. If the group cannot, the RC may upload by agreement.
The certification team is elected every year and the group leader post rotates, so hand over to the group, not only to one person.
Keeping the Group Active
Four meetings, yearly training, and at least one appraisal a year, with the summary sheet on time.

- The summary sheet uploaded at least 7 days before harvest.
A group with no summary sheet for two seasons or 12 months is suspended, and revival restarts it at PGS-Green-1.
Status After the Scheme
Farmers keep their status; PGS-Green cannot last beyond 3 years for annual crops, or 4 for plantation crops.
Farmers who completed full conversion without major non-compliance are PGS-Organic. Those still converting are PGS-Green, which cannot continue beyond 3 years for annual crops or 4 years for plantation crops.
Certified produce can be sold under the PGS-India logo, and through the Jaivik Kheti portal, which is linked with PGS certification.
